Sift the flour together with the baking powder. Beat the egg whites and salt. Add the sugar at the end of the beating process. Fold in the flour into the egg white mixture.
Instructions to make Steamed Brownies - Brownies Kukus:
- Prepare dry ingredients first. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, vanilla powder and baking powder all together.
- Move on, chop the chocolate bar. It doesn't have to be pretty.
- Heat the butter until it melts then add the chocolate. Turn off the heat and mix them up until the chocolate melts.
- Now crack the eggs put it into mixer bowl, add sugar and cake emulsifier. If you are using vanilla essence then add it too.
- Heat up water on a steamer pot. Prepare the mold. Use baking paper to line the mold and coat it with butter or baking spray.
- Mix the egg mixture for about 10 mins with mixer on high speed or until they're getting thick and white.
- Then add dry ingredients and the butter-chocolate and salt into the mix.
- Mix them all carefully, one direction, we don't want the mixture getting down. Mix until it looks thick and blended. Make sure there is no butter-chocolate mix on the bottom or any crumble flour.
- Put half of the mixture into the mold and put it into the steamer for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes get it out. Sprinkle chocochips or meses, the more the better.
- Cover them with the leftover mixture then steam it for 25 minutes.
- You can tell from the smell. After 25 minutes get it out from the steamer. Be patient, let it cool down a bit before get them out of the mold right away.
- Ready to serve and ENJOY!
