This cake is actually known as Zwetschgendatschi in Bavaria, where it is most popular. Roughly translated from Bavarian to German, it would be called Pflaumenkuchen or plum cake in English. Steps to make Plum Cake:
- Soak all the dry fruits in orange juice for minimum 2 to 3 hours or if you have time soak overnight in fridge.
- For sugar syrup melt granulated sugar until golden colour and then add hot water and mix vigorously to make syrup.
