Dhokla is a dish belonging to the Gujarati cuisine. In layman'sterms, it is a fluffy and spongy savoury cake made from gram flour. Traditionally, there are two very similar dishes that come from Gujarat. One is called Khaman and the other Dhokla.

Steps to make Dhokla cake:
  1. Add besan, sooji, ginger curd salt and whisk them well
  2. Check that no lumps formed….
  3. Grease a tin and keep aside…in the mixture add eno and immediately pour the mixture into the pan
  4. In a kadhai boil 1-2 glass water and keep that tin in it and cover it with the lid….
  5. Let it steam it for 20 minutes
  6. After 20 minutes insert a knife into the dhokla and check whether it comes out clean…if it is clean, ut means your dhokla is ready
  7. Now transfer the dhokla in some tray or plate.
  8. Take a pan add water and sugar and give it a boil…till the sugar melts
  9. Pour this sugar water on dhokla
  10. For tadka:- take a small pan add mustard seeds and heeng till it crackle…
  11. Now spread this tadka on the dhokla…
  12. Garnish the dhokla with pomegranate and corriander leaves.
  13. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
