Take the bread slices and trim the edges. Grind the red chillies, tamarind, grated coconut, tomato sauce and salt with little water to make a smooth paste. - Take out 26 pieces Parle g biscuits from the packet.Grind it finely in a mixie jar.
- Take a mixing bowl add biscuits powder and add milk to it.Beat well and make a thin lump free batter.
- Divide the batter in 2 equal parts in 2 bowls.
- Add few drops of orrange colour in 1st bowl check the colour if colour is looking light, then add some more drops and mix it well.
- In the 2nd bowl add green colour to it, check the colour if required then add some more drops and mix it well.
- Grease the idli plate with oil.just before steaming add 1/2 tsp eno in orrange batter and mix well till it turns frothy.pour the batter immediately into the idli plate.Do not rest the batter.
- Steam the idli cake for 5-10 mins on medium to high flame.After 10 min take it out from the cooker.Let it cool down and take it out the idli cakes from the idli stand with the help of spoon.
- Now mix 1/2 tsp eno in the green batter and mix well till it turns frothy.pour the batter immediately into the idli plate.
- Again just like previous steam it.after 10 min take it out from the cooker.let it cool down and take it out from the idli stand with the help of spoon.
- Now green and orange idlI cake is ready.Add yellow colour in the whipped cream to make yellowish cream.
- Place green idli cake on a plate and spread whipped cream with the help of piping bag over it and then keep the orange idli over it.Now make a decent design by filled creame piping bag.Add a cherry piece on the top for garnishing.Add some silver balls also for a cut look.Now our coloured idli cake sandwich is ready to eat.
