  3. Add oil in pan. Add cinnamon stick and sliced onion. Saute until onion turned into glassy.
  4. Add in garlic and ginger paste. Stir well. After 1 minute add tomato slices, stir well.
  5. Add in chilli paste and stir well. Let it cook until oil breaks and separate from gravy. (Med flame) add salt to taste and sugar. Stir well.
  6. Add deep fried tofu and stir. Cook for 2 more minutes (until the gravy thickens)
  7. Ready to serve and ENJOY!

It's a staple Malay dish, and is one of my all-time favourite. I'm a rare one though; for most, this is just a "filler" dish. You can place the tofu on a paper towel to dry the excess oil. Now, add the blended chilli mix to the pan. Mix all coating ingredients for tofu and mix well.
